• Lots of bright colours
• Drawing and art style is simple
• Pop-out mechanisms are made using paper or card so the book is 100% paper apart from the ink

• Can be educational or fictional
• Most educational types use pop-out features to explain things better
• Most fictional types pick on key parts of the story or significant scenes and bring these to life with pop-out techniques
