Final Piece

To begin work on my final piece I started by doing all of the line work on paper for the base drawings and then scanned them into photoshop. From here I then began colouring them using techniques similar to those of Brian Biggs'.

Here you can see me doing some more of the colour work on page two. You can also see What I did for the inside of the car. I kept most of it the same as the outside because only the window was supposed to be open and the rest would then blend in with the car on top.

This is what all my finished items looked like before I printed them off. They include pages 1, 2 and 3, the cover and the extra pieces for the pull out and 3D features.

Once all of the pieces had been printed off I began assembling the book. In this particular photo you can see me carefully cutting out the garage door with a craft knife.

And once It was all assembled it was looking very cool indeed. I scrapped my initial idea for the cover and went with some of my work for the pages of the book and made this composition which ties in better with the book better ad flows nicely onto the back cover also.

Here is page one, the exterior shot of the garage. I am pleased with how this turned out in terms of the scale and proportion of everything.

And now for page two. This was the shot from inside the garage where you can see into the car and see the wallet on the seat of the car. I am especially pleased with this page because it looks exactly how I pictured it, if not better.

Next is page three where you are now looking at the wallet open when it is on the seat, you are also able to pull out a picture of the original garage which is on the first page. This again works very well and is probably the most striking of the three pages. I did include a couple of tabs either side of the picture so that it can't be fully pulled out so that you can't loose it.

And finally the back cover which is basically what I said at the start and that is just and extension of the front cover which I believe is simple but effective. It ties the two covers in nicely with no break between them for a spine or anything and is again relevant to the book. There is also a barcode for that professional touch.

And I couldn't go with out including some close ups of my pop out, pull out and three dimensional features. Here is the garage door which lifts up to reveal a now brightly coloured mini

Next is a shot looking through the window of the mini onto the drivers seat where the wallet has been left.

and last but not least the inside of the wallet where the ouroboros is complete and you can see me sliding out the picture of the garage from the start.
